Compression Bandaging
At Lymphatx, we use short stretch bandages (Not ACE bandages) to prevent the re-accumulation of lymphatic fluid. Compression Bandages increase the efficiency of the muscles and joints and is used until the limb is sufficiently reduced to be fitted for compression garments. Bandages are worn overnight until the next CDT session.

How it works
Remedial range of motion exercises; with the bandages in place enhance the movement of lymph fluid out of the limb by activating the muscles and joints. Instruction in breathing exercises also improves lymphatic flow. Each exercise program is customized depending on the patients needs.

Compression Garments/Stockings
Gradient Compression therapy helps manage and prevent the progression of lymphedema, vein-related diseases or any swelling. Gradient compression garments help lymphatic fluid and blood flow in the right direction. The therapists at Lymphatx are trained to help and instruct every patient to be independent with applying and removing their compression garments. We have compression stockings such as knee highs, thigh highs, pantyhose and ankle/ knee braces; Also, we carry compression sleeves and gloves for arm and hand swelling.

Travel
Commonly at risk are people who fly or sit for long periods of time. An effective way to keep your legs or arms healthy during air travel is by wearing graduated compression stockings. Compression stocking apply a comfortable pressure on the outside of the leg or arm to support the veins and vein valves.
